SmartBot Otto is a smart autonomous robot equipped with ultrasonic sensing and motorized movement for obstacle-aware navigation. Built for robotics projects, learning, and prototyping, it combines practical mobility with a clean modern design.

3D Printed Parts:

  • Main body shell with servo mounts and battery space.

  • Legs, feet, and head parts for the walking mechanism.

  • Ultrasonic sensor holder for obstacle detection.

  • Optional: cable clips, top cover, decorative body parts.

Electronics & Hardware:

  • 1× Arduino Nano or Uno.

  • 1× Nano I/O shield or equivalent control board.

  • 4× Micro servo motors.

  • 1× Ultrasonic sensor (HC-SR04).

  • 1× Buzzer.

  • 1× Battery holder or rechargeable power supply with on/off switch.

  • Jump wires, M3 screws, nuts, and standoffs.

Basic Assembly Steps:

  1. Print the body, legs, feet, head, and sensor holder in PLA or PETG.

  2. Install the four servos into the body and leg joints.

  3. Mount the Arduino and connect it to the I/O shield or control board.

  4. Wire the servos, ultrasonic sensor, and buzzer according to the diagram.

  5. Assemble the head and attach the ultrasonic sensor to its holder.

  6. Upload the Otto code and calibrate the servos for smooth walking and movement.
